All ages and walks of life are welcome to join in prayer before Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament as the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage travels across the country.
This summer, Catholics from across the country, including the Archdio cese of Boston, are participating in the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, a 43-day, 2,200-mile journey with the Blessed Sacrament from May 24 through July 5.
Centered on the theme One Nation Under God, the pilgrimage is both a patriotic and spiritual invitation to renew our nation, communities, and families under the sovereignty of Jesus Christ, foster ing unity through prayer and devotion to the Holy Eucharist. The pilgrimage will travel up the Eastern Seaboard through many of the original 13 colonies, and will make its way through the Archdiocese of Boston. A dedicated group of pilgrims will walk, drive, and pray the en tire route while accompanying the Eucharist in a monstrance. Commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this pilgrimage beautifully connects our nation's history with our Eucharistic faith. Through Masses, Holy Hours, processions, and opportunities for prayer, it serves as a powerful spiritual renewal for Catholics and a public witness to Christ's Real Presence in the Eucharist.
We invite all parishioners to take part in one or more of the pilgrimage events as it passes through our Archdiocese and to join in praying for the spiritual renewal of our nation and our Church. May this message – Jesus is coming – echo in our hearts, across the nation, and through the ages, and may his True Presence transform our country.
We hope you’ll join us and Archbishop Henning for this historic pilgrimage!
