Community Sundays are a wonderful opportunity for us as a Parish Community to come together after Mass to socialize and enjoy one another’s company while having a sweet treat and a nice hot cup of coffee.

With the winter season upon us, the parish has put in place some policies to help our parishioners be safe in stormy weather. We ask all to exercise caution when walking or driving in winter weather (snow, ice, rain, or the dreaded wintry mix)!

Whenever January 1, the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, falls on a Saturday or on a Monday, the obligation to attend Mass is set aside. This is according to Canon Law.

St. Theresa Church and St. Andrew Church were overflowing with joy (and people) as we came together as a Parish Community to celebrate the birth of our Savior!

The Women’s Club as well as a few others enjoyed a wonderful trip to the La Salette Shrine this past Sunday.

We are pleased to share the Christmas Mass schedule for Saint Matthew the Evangelist Parish you. Of note, this year, the 4th Sunday of Advent and the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord fall on consecutive days.

On December 9th we gathered together at St. Theresa Church for a Christmas Sing-A-Long led by our talented cantors, Parish Choir, Children’s Choir and our Music Director, Laura Rosa. 

What a wonderful day was had  at the St. Matthew Christmas Fair! It was heartwarming to catch up with old friends and meet new ones as well!

Due to a scheduled wedding in the church this Saturday (November 25th) confessions will be heard in the Parish Hall building in the small chapel near Room 7.

HELP NEEDED at Christmas Fair! Can you help with the St. Matthew Christmas Fair? Volunteers are needed to set-up the hall before the Fair  and in various ways on the day of the fair - December 2, 2023 from 9am - 3pm !

During this time, the entrance to the church will be through the two SIDE DOORS ONLY! During this time, the front entrance, including the loop, will be blocked off for approximately 2 weeks while construction takes place.

All Saints’ Day is a holy day of obligation and recognized as one of the most important feasts on the liturgical calendar. On this day we honor not only the saints we know by name in Heaven, but also any saints whose names we don’t know! 

Saint Vincent dePaul held a fundraiser at the Parish Hall on Friday evening where those in attendance played MUSIC BINGO and socialized all the while supporting this important group.

Please join us in congratulating these young men and women who made the choice to establish a deeper relationship with God.

Staff welcomed volunteers to the Parish Hall on Saturday, August 26th for our First Annual Parish BBQ! We were blessed with a great weather, and honored to have many of our parish volunteers join us to celebrate them!
